MRI at Peel Heath Campus

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a test that uses a magnetic field and pulses of radio wave energy to make pictures of organs and structures inside the body. In many cases, MRI gives different information about structures in the body that cannot be seen with an X-ray, ultrasound, or computed tomography (CT) scan.

MRI imaging is used for many reasons. The main uses of MRI are for knee injuries, brain diseases and spine complaints such as pinched nerves or after an injury.  It can be used to find problems such as bleeding, infections, blood vessel disease and tumours.

Global Diagnostics has a MRI conveniently located at Peel Health Campus. This MRI has a full Medicare licence, which means patients have more MRI exams that are eligible for a Medicare rebate and you get more money back. Our specialist radiologist doctors are situated onsite, so you will receive a comprehensive service every time you visit. We currently have appointments available, including on Saturdays, so there is no need to wait long periods of time to have your scan.
